*Texas direct access bill allows patients to visit a physical therapist without a referral from a doctor or other provider for up to 10 business days. After 10 business days the patient need a referral from a qualified healthcare provider, such as a physician, dentist, chiropractor, or podiatrist. Health plans may or may not cover the services.
